LAS VEGAS – Bovada is running a MonsterStack online poker tournament series with over $4 million in guaranteed prizes being paid out across the series and up to $200k paid out from a single tournament. The tournament series is set to begin on Sunday.
Within the legal online poker series, there are mini main events with up to $12k guaranteed and up to $70k guaranteed in their main event tournaments.
As far as the Bovada poker tournament specifics, this is a 5,000-entry tournament, meaning no more than 5,000 participants can enter. Buy-in is set at $150 + $12 with unlimited re-entries also at a $150 + $12.
All players will start with a chip count of 150,000. First place is guaranteed $20k.
Qualifying, Registration, & Tournament Specifics
In this tournament, Bovada allows the players to qualify on their own terms, either by paying the full buy-in or registering for one of the lower stakes tournaments for as low as $1 and playing their way into the Sunday main event for their chance at a share of $200k.
With this being one of the longer-standing tournaments played, there will be a five-minute break every 55 minutes.
The blinds will also rapidly rise starting at 100/200. Every 12 minutes, the small blind will rise by 50 chips while the big blind will rise by 100 chips.
Regardless of how many entrants the tournament sees, about the top 20% will get paid out. If the full 5,000 registrations are met, roughly 1,000 people will earn their share of the prize pool.
